FAQ

What can I expect in my first session?

Your first session is a gentle starting point. We’ll talk about your current experiences, your history, and what support you’re looking for. There’s no pressure — you can share at your own pace. We welcome questions to make sure this feels like a good fit.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or looking for support with emotions, relationships, or life transitions. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit—many people come simply to better understand themselves.

What issues do you specialize in?

Annemarie specializes in supporting individuals navigating pregnancy and early parenthood, including postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, fertility challenges, and the emotional transition into parenthood.

How long does therapy take?

It depends on your goals and needs. Some clients come for a few sessions to address a specific issue, while others engage in longer-term work for deeper growth.

How often will we meet?

Most clients start with weekly sessions. As progress is made, we can adjust the frequency based on your needs and preferences.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes, in addition to in person sessions, I offer secure telehealth sessions so you can attend from
the comfort of your home.

Do you accept insurance?

● I accept the following insurance plans: Aetna, BCBS, United Healthcare, Lyra & Health Advocate EAP
● I am an out-of-network provider and can provide superbills for reimbursement.

What are your fees?

My standard fee is $145 per session.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to a fee.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, your privacy is very important. Everything we discuss is confidential, with a few legal exceptions (such as risk of harm to yourself or others, or court orders), which we’ll explain in our first session.

How do I get started?

You can contact me via our contact form to schedule a consultation or first appointment. We’re happy to answer any questions before we begin.
