I am dedicated to working collaboratively with clients to assist in their wellness goals. I firmly believe that each individual has it within themselves to improve and achieve their desired happiness. As their therapist, I am there to listen, reflect and provide additional insight into the current situation to empower the client to reach their optimal potential.
My theoretical approach to counseling is eclectic drawing from person centered, interpersonal approaches while incorporating cognitive behavioral strategies when appropriate. I often introduce mindfulness and meditation strategies to assist with a clients’ overall wellness and stress reduction. We will develop a treatment plan to work towards your goals for our sessions together. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression or life transition, I will travel with you on your journey!
I have completed specialized training through the Post Partum Stress Center as well as Post Partum Support International. Additionally, I have obtained the Perinatal Mental Health Certification through PSI.
I work with adult clients (age 18 +) on a variety of general mental health related issues including, but not limited to, life transition, peer conflicts, family conflict, grief/loss, anxiety and depression. I specialize in working within women’s issues and coping with significant life transition. Working with a therapist during life transitions can increase resilience, boost confidence and minimize post-traumatic stress.
